OK,
So YOU KNOW when you've fucked something up at practice.
you're feelin that beat, everythings going well,
and then it happens
you feel that oh-so-familiar burning sensation that goes from hot to cold and back to hot again.
You vision goes blurry and you start to see stars.
you still hear the music someone way way waaaaaaay in the background and you're on the floor...but you are NOT moving.
1st thought: I'M HURT! 2nd thought: How long am i going to be out?
Had a similar experience this past Saturday. usually when this happens I try and continue practicing w/o using the injured location. Unfortunately this time I hurt my hip....
which i kinda...need for everything....
I'm pretty sure it's b/c i've been slacking on the Omega-3 fish oil.
ugh.
What are your "get better quick techniques"?
Rox-it's recomendation for everything:....crap ton of ibuprofen and sleep.

Peace,
Time and distribution of practice in a smart manner in relation to the severity of the particular injury. Wait until you hit your 30s and you've been breakin for over 17yrs.

key is to not be lazy...dont stop stretching the injured areas
not intense stretching but enough to keep the areas moving and not locking up. then apply icyhot/sportscreme and ice to keep swelling down.
be back in no time...

I had this huge nubin (cyst) growing on my left hand. It took up a 2 month residency there. Somehow i popped it/ crushed it while dancing in Philly.....
Where'd it go? Is it just floating around in my bloodstream? Ewwwww.
But hey, I guess i can focus on power now without having the nubin cause me a rediculous amount of pain.

today i tweeked a muscle in my hip, but I kept practicing loosened it up A LOT stretched and its fine now. so if you have a light injury listen to your body and take care of it!
