Congratulations to all of the Indiana cats who came out to Newport, KY last night and repped at the 2v2.
There were 16 crews that entered and it was set up bracket style.
Slim/ Vizion took down their opponents with ease
Rox-it/C-lo went overkill mode on theirs
So the next thing we know, the MC says "OK, SEMIFINALS!" They cut from 16 crews to the top 4.
Rox-it/C-lo vs .....Two guys who's names escape me at the moment. 1 round per bboy. Rox-it/C-lo advance.
Slim/Vizion vs Elusive/Osuga. both had commandos and routines. Should have gone into a tie-breaker but the host of the night said there was no time left and the at the judges had to make a decsion. Elusive/Osuga win.
Rox-it/C-lo vs Elusive/Osuga in the finals. 2 rounds per bboy. Osuga uses the wall in his set which is super dope. Goes into a tie-breaker. Osuga vs Rox-it. Osuga wins. He was hella clean and burned Rox-it with a strobbing variation that Rox-it just threw down.
So Elusive and Osuga took the win.
It was a suprisingly fun event for a Wed. night. Lots of good people, HORRIBLE MUSIC, Long tiring day ahead of all the dancers of last night.
Props to Sam Huh for driving us out there even though he didn't get to battle.
